I can count all the files in a folder and sub-folders, the folders themselves are not counted.However, powershell is too slow for the amount of files (up to 700k). I read that cmd is faster in executing this kind of task.

I am trying to store the output of a cmd command as a variable in python. To achieve this i am using os.system() but os.system() just runs the process,it doesn't capture the output.
I'm working on a club project and we are using angular for our platform, I'm just doing front-end homepage stuff, so technically I just use the angular stuff to run and test.
